On a recent trip to New Zealand, Jenny Hodgson had the opportunity to speak about the Condatis project in a podcast produced by the Otago Institute for the Arts and Sciences, part of the Royal Society of New Zealand. Jenny joined the presenters Dr Barb Anderson and Trudi Sunitsch to chat about how the spatial arrangement of land use and management affects the viability of species.
They discussed the concept of ecological connectivity, how it helps planning conservation programmes as well as informing the work farmers and conservation groups to develop better solutions for species and habitats under stress from climate change and habitat loss.
The show was broadcast in OAR Radio Dunedin (NZ) and can be listened to here: https://accessmedia.nz/player?EID=d2400fe4-6cbd-455b-98d7-28b08a66f2c9&audioOnlyMode=true
