Here is a list of the peer-reviewed studies that developed and/or used the Condatis method. Many of them had practitioners as co-authors.

The following article demonstrates how Condatis can be used to quantify overall connectivity of a habitat network, and how this changes over time:

Evidence of the ability of Condatis to predict actual rates of range expansion, comparing Condatis’s ‘speed’ metric with observed range expansion by woodland-associated British moth species over ~40 years:

Example of the use of Condatis to plan conservation, by identifying under-protected habitat patches critical for south-north connectivity in England:

  • Travers, T.J.P., Alison, J., Taylor, S.D., Crick, H.Q.P. & Hodgson, J.A. (2021) Habitat patches providing South-North connectivity are under-protected in a fragmented landscape. Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, 288, 20211010. https://doi.org/10.1098/rspb.2021.1010

Another example of the use of Condatis to plan conservation, incorporating connectivity into conservation planning in Sabah, Malaysia:
