The people behind Condatis

The Condatis project is led by Dr Jenny Hodgson at the University of Liverpool. It is currently developed and maintained by the Computational Biology Facility at the University of Liverpool. Software engineers contributing directly to the web application have been David Wallis, Anthony McCabe, John Heap and Daniel Warren. Tom Travers and Claudia Gutiérrez-Arellano have been major contributors to Condatis innovations in the R language.

We would be grateful if you have space to cite the software as well as one of our papers, in order to make it easier to track our success (see advice about citing software).

We would also love to hear directly about how Condatis has been useful to you, e.g. by email.

Partner organisations and Funding

The Condatis project has been funded from a variety of sources, starting from 2014, and we are sincerely grateful to all our funders. Some of the significant grants we have had are listed below. The biggest single funder has been the UK Natural Environment Research Council; we have also received direct funding from Natural England, Buglife and Defra (these projects are not individually listed).

Since these grants aimed at generating societal impact from research, the associated partner organisations were vital to their success. Beyond these organisations, many other conservation practitioners and scientists have given us invaluable feedback to improve Condatis’ functionality over the years. We acknowledge and celebrate them all!
