The Condatis project is a long-term collaboration of academics, software developers and conservation practitioners, led by Dr Jenny Hodgson of the University of Liverpool.
If you’re looking for an initial overview of why Condatis is useful, in practical, large-scale conservation, please start with our page ‘What can I get out of Condatis?’
Following on from that, we have two pages of ‘inspiration’ describing the projects of previous users: Inspiration: Examples of using Condatis to plan Conservation and Inspiration: Examples of using Condatis to plan Restoration.
If you are ready to start using Condatis yourself, start with the ‘Training resources’ page.
To find out more about the people and organisations who have been involved in the Condatis project so far, see ‘Who are we’ and ‘The Knowledge Exchange Network’.
“A tool that would assist in the selection of where best to locate our landscape- scale conservation efforts would be of enormous benefit. Such a tool could not only maximise the chances of producing high quality habitat and improving connectivity to increase chance of subsequent colonisation by threatened species, but also ensure we make best use of increasingly scarce resources.”
